John Terry To Return For Chelsea At West Ham
…… but Frank Lampard misses out……
John Terry returns to the side for the trip to West Ham United tomorrow whilst Frank Lampard looks like missing out on his return to The Boleyn Ground, I’m sure the home supporters will be grief stricken not being able to boo their former player.
Both players missed the two England European Championship qualifiers with injury problems but whilst John Terry’s injury has cleared up, Frank Lampard’s Hernia operation still hasn’t fully healed and is hoped to return the following Sunday for the home game against Blackpool.
New signings Yossi Benayoun and Ramires will both be hoping to fill the gap now left in midfield.
West Ham, and former Chelsea manager Avram Grant, will be looking for their first points of the season against top of the table, and unbeaten, Chelsea.
“Only one England captain”…….although we will no doubt hear the West Ham fans banging on again about how they won the World Cup with Bobby Moore!
