Brief: Chelsea 2 – Arsenal 0

Chelsea welcomed London neighbours Arsenal to Stamford Bridge looking to keep up our recent winning streak against them and, to get back on track after last week’s defeat to Man City.

Once again we saw Didier Drogba score against the Gunners and continue to be the one player that Wenger will be glad to see the back off, Ashley Cole put in the cross infront of the Arsenal fans and celebrated with an ‘air punch’ after taking stick from his ex club’s away support.

This put us one up and it stayed that way till halftime.

The second half saw us under a bit of pressure whilst they looked for the equaliser and they had plenty of possession, Chelsea soaked it all up and should have gone two nil in front when Anelka rounded the keeper only to shoot into the side netting.

With 5 minutes to go, Chelsea got a free kick outside the Arsenal box and Alex let rip with a thunderbolt strike and all bar a total collapse, the game was won.
