Chelsea Fans Pitch Up At Cobham

The annual supporters’ tournament at Cobham continues to establish itself in the Chelsea calendar with the weekend having hosted the fourth year of event.

In the same month the Chelsea players return to the training ground to begin getting in shape for the season ahead, for one day pitch space is also given over to teams of supporters to compete against each other.

A record 14 teams took part this year, with one young side travelling over from Czech Republic. A series of group stage matches were played, each 20 minutes in length, with the final taking place between the group winners, who this year were named Chelski Dynamo and Bucks Chelsea.

As well as the fans, ex-Chelsea players also had an input; Clive Walker, Clive Wilson, Steve Finnieston and David Lee drafted in to referee with widespread opinion declaring that Walker gave the dodgiest decision of the day, even though the ‘penalty’ he awarded was not converted……
