Spot on-am loving Costa’s ability to annoy and irritate other teams and their fans, and agree 100% on Martinez – I like the bloke but Coleman’s constant nudging, shirt pulling…. etc etc was what got Costa booked, and bearing in mind the Howard getting in Azpilicueta’s face (literally) incident Roberto should think himself lucky his keeper was still on the pitch to let those last 3 goals through his legs. Not to mention catching the ball outside his area… I am hopeful for Remy though, he’s a good player on form, I do just wish we’d give some of our squad players a chance rather than farming them out all over Europe.

Nail on the head, T…..great article as always.

I think Remy is as good as we were likely to get given that whoever came in would only be a back-up to the Beast!

What a silly and ill-informed comment on Remy. An ideal back up striker – and a big step up from Ba, Torres or (the current) Drogba.

The clue is in the word ‘back up’ – you can’t sign a Cavani to be a back up.

Still, after your negative comments regarding the signing of Costa, we shouldn’t be surprised.

      It’s all about opinions mate

I too was sceptical at the signing of Costa & am so pleased to be proved wrong – so good to see us going all out to score rather than 127 passes first – long may it continue

I think Remy is going to be called into action quite often as Costa looks like he’s going to get booked quite a bit so let’s hope he’s up to the job. Good job the goals are coming from other areas too – with Lampard gone others need to step up

It’s quite easy to HATE shite footballers, I give you Stephen Hunt for one!
Think you’ll be proved wrong with Remy too. He’s caused CFC problems as an oppo player, pacy, ambitious & decent finisher. An upgrade on what we had & good squad addition that’ll be grateful for his opportunities.
