• Disagree about Ivanovic being undroppable. Spends too much time pretending to be a forward and too little time defending. Most of the goals we have conceded have been due to him being out of position and too late getting back. Even looked “injured” to justify his defensive lapse in one instance. His commitment is great – it should just be used defensively.

• Thought that Filipe Luis did very well against schalke and put in two delightful crosses with the left foot , something that Dave doesn’t have in his locker. Think Luis should have been brought on in the last twenty mins cos Milner seemed to have the measure of Dave. This would have closed down that supply of ball in from our left. Dave is a brilliant performer but sometimes he can be found out at left back.

• Surely a World Class player of Lampard’s caliber was worth giving one more year. Poor decision by the Management as Frank is coming off the bench for City and winning matches. There was no other ending aside from SuperFrank burying one against us in a huge match.
