I fear you may be right about the champions league. Mourinho is way too negative in Europe. He seems to base everything on defensive ideas and it is affecting all the players. Fabregas at the start of the season was producing assists for fun , now I think he has one in the last ten games. When the ball gets to the midfield it is held up and not moved quickly enough so teams are getting back behind the ball with ridiculous ease. We need a rethink on tactics because opposition managers have mourinho,s staid formation figured out.
it’s not surprising that Cesc is reluctant to venture forward when the useless Ramires is in the same team as him. How that guy gets selected is beyond me! His ball control is dreadful and he constantly gives the ball away when in possession. We should take the first decent offer that comes along and put the money towards a replacement.
