Initial enhancements to the Stamford Bridge experience this season

From the official Chelsea FC website:

Chelsea supporters attending our home matches at Stamford Bridge this season will be able to take advantage of an improved and extended food and beverage offering both inside and around the stadium, as well as over 100 new in-stadium LCD screens.

We are delighted to be welcoming you back to the Bridge this weekend for our Premier League curtain-raiser and those fans present can enjoy a host of new stadium experiences, as well as extended opening times at our bars and kiosks.

For this opening game against Tottenham, there are also some great offers available including a free drinks voucher to be used prior to kick-off.

Food and beverage service – extended opening times

Bars and kiosks in the stadium will now open two hours prior to kick-off (90 minutes before for weekday matches) and remain open continuously until 25 minutes into the second half.

This includes the East Stand Lower, where for the first time fans will be able to take advantage of an expanded concourse that will permit the purchase of alcoholic beverages in an area out of view of the pitch at half-time. Just like last season, beer will be available for purchase at a discounted rate for the first 30 minutes after stadium gates open throughout the concourses.

Jimmy’s, Dixon’s and the Tea Bar will be open to supporters for beverage service from two-and-a-half hours prior to kick-off and continuously throughout the game.

After the game, fans are invited to remain at Stamford Bridge in the West Lower concourse, the Tea Bar, and – for season ticket holders – Jimmy’s and Dixon’s. These bars will remain open for 90 minutes following the final whistle (one hour for weekday matches). As always, Frankie’s will be open pre and post-match for all Chelsea supporters.

Food and beverage service – new offerings

A new range of outside street food trucks will also be available offering a variety of refreshments from three hours before kick-off.

For the Tottenham game, these include Little Watan serving authentic Lebanese street food, Uncle G’s offering juicy buttermilk chicken and chips, Gully which is the UK’s first interactive Indian street food truck (all located outside the West Stand along the Shed Wall), and Pietanic serving award-winning handmade pies and sides (located outside the East Stand to the left of the Millennium Hotel).

Fans are encouraged to arrive at Stamford Bridge early and stay late to avoid crowds and take advantage of these new food and beverage offerings.

In-Stadium LCD Screens

A total of 102 new, enlarged television screens have been added to the public areas of Stamford Bridge so that fans can feel the action on the pitch from the concourse.  Nine new LCD screens have been added to the Matthew Harding Lower stand, where supporters previously have not had a view of the large LED screens.

Additionally, enlarged televisions and a new sound system have been added to the West Lower to supplement a space that will remain open for all fans post-match.

Free drinks voucher

To welcome supporters back to the Bridge this weekend, we are offering a free drinks voucher to be used prior to kick-off.

This promotion is only available between 2pm and 3.15pm on Sunday 14 August, subject to availability. Vouchers will be distributed on the concourse just inside the turnstiles.
