Supporting Rainbow Laces at Stamford Bridge

From the official Chelsea FC website:

Chelsea Football Club’s support for the annual Rainbow Laces campaign continues this weekend at our Premier League match versus Aston Villa.

This follows on from displays and activities when Chelsea Women played Manchester City Women on 16 November, also at Stamford Bridge.

At Chelsea we are committed to ensuring our club is a safe and welcoming place for all LGBTQ+ people and we are proud to support Stonewall’s 2024/25 Rainbow Laces campaign with these two dedicated games.

Sunday’s match is part of a Premier League-wide celebration of the ongoing commitment to inclusion and support for LGBTQ+ people in football, and making it clear the game is for everyone.

There will be rainbows on giant flags and corner flags, the ball plinth, handshake and substitute boards, and the captain’s armband.

We have collaborated with LGBTQ+ journalist, presenter and lifelong Chelsea supporter Snake Denton across the Rainbow Laces campaign, to tell LGBTQ+ fan stories as well as his own story of the power of LGBTQ+ fandom, community and joy in football.

The matchday programme will feature a We all follow the Chelsea interview with Snake who talks about his own experiences at games.

And keep an eye on our digital channels for more following the game.

We can all play our part in reporting homophobic and transphobic abuse/chanting. If you hear it, report it
