I have to agree with you about Lampard. It does seem very contrived that he signs for new York , goes over there , poses for a few photos and hey presto he,s on loan to the mercenaries. We all loved him while he was here and I know that we left him go but if he wanted to sign for them why didn’t he do it rather than going that way about it. It certainly leaves a sour taste.

Gotta get the whole Super Frank debacle off my chest too –
Am I the only Chelsea supporter who feels really “gutted” at him scoring against us for City?
What makes it particularly vexing, and correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it stated in the media that he didn’t want to go to another English club?
I also recall talk when he first went to City of him not wanting to play against Chelsea.
I don’t get the whole ‘refusing to celebrate’ when a player scores against one of their old clubs either. Frank even said himself that he had a responsibility to act in a professional manner in scoring that goal.
Well he’s a City player now – like it or not – and it just confirms one thing that I realized a long time ago: the ONLY LOYALTY to football clubs resides with the fans.
It’s just a very well-paid job and a lucrative career for the players.

  • There is nothing Lampard can do that will tarnish his legendary status for CFC – let us all just enjoy how incredible a player he still is. The man is still scoring and giving it hard to all the critics he ever had. Get on Frank! KTBFFH
