Your report certainly puts a ‘rosy’ picture on quite a gloomy situation at Chelsea. Everton were another team that should have walked off with all three points yet you’d think Chelsea were as brave and fearless as the lads at Dunkirk! You give Stones stick but him and Baines were the best defenders on show and not sure why you’d like to think Martinez ‘hates you’ ?? You’re not that good to hate anymore 🙂 Still you should stay up.

    • Thanks for your comment Charles.
Needless to say, I always try to look at our situation through blue tinted glasses! But my overriding feeling on leaving the ground was relief but also disappointment that the fight wasn’t there at the start of the game because, you are right, it is a gloomy situation at Chelsea right now.
I thought Baines had a good game, Stones much less so, probably on a par with our own defenders.
I bear no personal malice towards Martinez, I just had to laugh at his denial of the fact that his own team shenanigans led to their demise. It happens. It happens to us as well. That’s football!
