Academy Fixtures Confirmed For 2022/23
From the official Chelsea FC website:
Our Premier League 2 campaign will begin with an away trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers next month, while our Under-18s start with a London derby at Arsenal.
Chelsea’s development squad, under new head coach Mark Robinson, get started in the Midlands on Monday 8 August before hosting Fulham at Stamford Bridge a week later, both 7pm kick-offs.
The PL2 league has been altered to an under-21 competition this season, with provisions for clubs to field five ‘over-age’ outfield players and one ‘over-age’ goalkeeper each game. Fulham and Wolves are the two promoted sides in Division One this term.
The young Blues will also be involved once again in the senior EFL Trophy and have been drawn in a group alongside Sutton United, Leyton Orient and Oxford United. Fixture details for that competition are included below and start with a trip to Sutton at the end of August.
Chelsea Under-19s will feature in the UEFA Youth League, with group fixtures mirroring Thomas Tuchel’s side following the draw on Thursday 25 August.
Meanwhile, our youth team start their league campaign across town at Arsenal on Saturday 13 August before our first home fixture sees Leicester City come to Cobham the following weekend.
