Chelsea wreaths laid in Royal Park
From the official Chelsea FC website:
The two floral wreaths that were placed on the pitch at Stamford Bridge before our game on Wednesday night are now part of the Hyde Park Floral Tribute Garden for Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Chelsea FC Women’s manager Emma Hayes and club director Barbara Charone laid the wreaths in their new location on behalf of Chelsea Football Club on Friday afternoon.
Hyde Park, one of the Royal Parks, is one of two locations for laying flowers near Buckingham Palace and the Chelsea wreaths join many floral tributes placed in those gardens in the past week.
At our midweek game, two Chelsea Pensioners carried the wreaths onto the turf for a minute’s silence prior to kick-off.
