Following last week’s passing of our legendary former player and manager Gianluca Vialli, Chelsea Football Club is inviting fans to record their own messages and memories.
Tomorrow (Tuesday) at 9.30am, a book of condolence will open for written tributes. It will be on the ground floor of the Museum and Stadium Tours building, behind the Matthew Harding Stand at Stamford Bridge. Accompanying it will be a display remembering Luca’s career at Chelsea. The book will be available between 9.30am and 4.30pm each day.
For those unable to visit the Bridge who wish to leave messages, an online version of the book of condolence is now open.
In addition, a special area for laying floral tributes has been open daily near the Britannia Entrance at Stamford Bridge.
There will be further tributes at our next home game, versus Crystal Palace on Sunday with details to follow.
At our game at Manchester City yesterday, there was minute’s applause before kick-off and the players wore black armbands and special warm-up t-shirts featuring Vialli’s Chelsea shirt number.
