UEFA Conference League fixture update
From the official Chelsea FC website:
Following Friday’s UEFA Conference League draw, we have further information on the order in which our potential quarter-final and semi-final ties will be played.
Since the draw, it has been confirmed the first leg of our Round of 16 meeting with Copenhagen in the Danish capital will kick-off at 5.45pm UK time (6.45pm local). The return leg at Stamford Bridge will then be an 8pm start.
In the event we progress past Copenhagen, the first leg of our quarter-final tie is scheduled to be played at home. However, in the event that Tottenham Hotspur progress past AZ Alkmaar to the Europa League quarter-finals, their first leg is also scheduled at home, on the same day as ours. Due to the potential match opposition for both Tottenham and us, UEFA have ruled that Chelsea’s home and away legs will be reversed. This would mean that we would be away in the first leg.
This scenario will also apply if both us and Tottenham and progress to our respective semi-finals, when we are again scheduled to both play at home first.
If Tottenham do not get through in the Europa League, then our original draw is not affected and our potential Conference League quarter-final and semi-final first leg ties would be at Stamford Bridge.
