Chelsea v Leicester City (Women): Kick-off time, where to watch and more

From the official Chelsea FC website:

After dropping points for only the second time this season, the Blues have a new opportunity to get back to winning ways when we host Leicester City at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday night. Here is all you need to know…

It is a quick turnaround for Sonia Bompastor‘s side who drew 2-2 with Brighton & Hove Albion away on Sunday as we are back on league duty tomorrow evening in Kingston.

Where and when

We are set to host the Foxes at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday 5 March, with kick-off scheduled for 7.30pm.

How to follow

As always, you can follow minute-by-minute updates at our Chelsea Women v Leicester City Match Centre on the official Chelsea website and app. You can also follow through Chelsea Women’s social media channels on XFacebook and Instagram.

The match will be shown live on Sky Sports for those watching in the UK.

The form

Despite dropping points against the Seagulls in Sunday’s 2-2 draw – where Sandy Baltimore and Lauren James were on the scoresheet – the Blues remain unbeaten in 25 games across all four competitions this season. We sit five points clear at the top of the WSL table.

Leicester City are 10th in the league with 12 points after 15 games played. Their most recent WSL game saw the Foxes lose 2-0 to second-placed Manchester United at Leigh Sports Village.

Recent head-to-head

The two sides met back in December for our last WSL match of 2024, with Amandine Miquel’s side being the first to take points off the Blues this season. It finished 1-1 at the King Power Stadium thanks to midfielder Wieke Kaptein‘s stunning late equaliser cancelling out Missy Goodwin’s opener.
