The form
Chelsea remain unbeaten domestically this season, with the only dropped points coming in the 2-2 draw with Brighton and Hove Albion at the beginning of the month and the 1-1 away to Leicester City in December.
Fourteen wins from sixteen total games sees Sonia Bompastor‘s side sit eight points clear of second-placed Arsenal at the summit of the table before Sunday’s repeat visit to Manchester.

Chelsea have not played in the league since March 5, when we completed a 3-1 victory over Leicester City, with Catarina Macario, Aggie Beever-Jones and Erin Cuthbert supplying the goals that day.
Recent head-to-head
The Blues pulled off a 2-0 league win over Man City back in November at Stamford Bridge. The two sides were deadlocked at 0-0 for the opening 75 minutes, before Mayra Ramirez opened the scoring with a superb solo effort. Just three minutes later Guro Reiten struck from a tight angle to seal all three points and send Chelsea top of the table.
Two more meetings followed in the space of a week, as Chelsea defeated Nick Cushing’s side in the League Cup Final last Saturday. Ramirez was on the scoresheet once more in a 2-1 win at Pride Park that handed Sonia Bompastor her first silverware since joining the club back in the summer.
Wednesday night brought the two rivals back to face off again in Manchester as the home side registered a 2-0 advantage heading into the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final next Thursday.
We will also face Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in the second leg of our UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final on Thursday 27 March and you secure your seat for that match here.
