Chelsea’s game with Brighton moved due to Women’s League Cup final
From the official Chelsea FC website:
Chelsea’s fixture with Brighton & Hove Albion has been moved after the Blues reached the Women’s League Cup final.
The Blues had been due to welcome the Seagulls on Sunday 15 March but we will now be participating in the Women’s League Cup final on the same day.
We will be looking to retain our Women’s League Cup trophy when we take on Manchester United at Bristol City’s Ashton Gate, meaning the game with Brighton will now take place the following week.
Chelsea Women will now play Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday 18 March.
The 7pm kick-off has also been selected for broadcast and will by shown on Sky Sports.
The last time we faced Brighton & Hove Albion, in December, we were 3-0 victors thanks to a stunning strike by Sandy Baltimore, an own-goal from Caitlin Hayes and Alyssa Thompson‘s finish.
