Community days return for the 2022/23 season

From the official Chelsea FC website:

The Chelsea Foundation hosted the latest community day at the club’s Cobham training ground recently.

It was a day to remember for several of the club’s special guests as they had the opportunity to watch their Chelsea heroes train at our famous training ground.

To get the day started, our guests took part in a question and answer session before taking front-row seats to watch the Chelsea squad train.

After an exciting training session, the team took time to meet and speak with supporters, as well as taking photographs and signing autographs, much to the delight of the fans.

Lifelong Chelsea and football fan Lorraine was ecstatic to have met the team after travelling from Belfast, saying: ‘It’s amazing, it’s just a dream come true really. I can’t stop smiling, my face is sore from smiling!

‘It’s just something that we never thought we would get to do, it’s just amazing.’

Blues fan Zane also had a day to remember, adding: ‘It’s been so much fun. I was only told a few days ago so I was surprised.’

Of all the squad, Zane was most excited to meet his favourite player Reece James, who has just signed a new long-term contract with the Blues.

16-year-old Jack reflected on his time at the training ground, explaining how he found the session interesting to watch. ‘It’s really quick, I’ll say that!’

The regular community days see the Chelsea Foundation linking up with a range of charities to arrange visits for supporters and their carers, giving them a well-deserved boost in what is obviously a difficult time for them and their families.
