Rail strikes affecting Crystal Palace, AC Milan and Wolves games

From the official Chelsea FC website:

Industrial action is planned on the rail network on the days hosting each of Chelsea’s next three men’s fixtures.

Those days are Saturday 1 October when we play away at Crystal Palace, Wednesday 5 October when we host AC Milan at Stamford Bridge and Saturday 8 October when there is a home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Visit the National Rail website for the latest news about the strike action, and for information about journey planning.

For the game against Crystal Palace this Saturday (1 October), the following info has been issued:

Train services on this day will be greatly reduced (No Arriva Rail London services, very limited Southern Services). It is advised only to travel by rail for essential journeys. For the Crystal Palace match against Chelsea on this day please plan ahead and use alternative methods of transport to the ground.

South Western Railway (SWR) is warning it will run a severely reduced service on Saturday 1 October, with significant parts of the network closed entirely. Due to planned Network Rail engineering works, all stations between Windsor and Feltham will be closed that day.

For the game against Wolves on Saturday 8 October, in addition to the industrial action, Transport for London has informed us that on that day, there will be scheduled engineering works on the District Line of the London Underground between Earl’s Court and Wimbledon meaning no service on that line (which serves Fulham Broadway Station). Replacement buses will operate.
