Chelsea hope to take a step closer to clinching the Women’s Super League title when we face Crystal Palace at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday evening (today). Find out how you can watch the match here.
After Sunday’s trip to Barcelona, Chelsea make an immediate return to action in the league with a clash against Crystal Palace at Kingsmeadow.
Head coach Sonia Bompastor will want to return to winning ways ahead of the crucial Champions League second leg this Sunday and is expected to rotate her side from the team that started in Europe.

We will face Crystal Palace at Kingsmeadow on Wednesday 23 April. Kick off is scheduled for 7.15pm UK time.

The form
Chelsea sit three points clear of Arsenal at the top of the WSL table, and we have played one game fewer than the Gunners.
Our points tally of 48 comes from 15 wins and three draws from Bompastor’s opening 18 league games since joining the club in the summer, with our only two defeats this season coming in the Champions League against Manchester City and Barcelona.
Palace sit at the opposite end of the table. The Eagles have won just twice in 18 attempts following their promotion from the Women’s Championship in the summer and currently have nine points on the board, seven points behind 11th-placed Aston Villa.
Recent head-to-head
We have faced Crystal Palace twice already this season, once in the WSL and once in the FA Cup.
In September we secured a 7-0 win courtesy of goals from Aggie Beever-Jones, Lucy Bronze, Lauren James, Nathalie Bjorn, Catarina Macario and a brace from Guro Reiten.
Following that 7-0 rout in the league, we also faced Palace in the FA Cup quarter-final in March. That day, a 1-0 win was enough to see us through to face Liverpool in the semi-final, with a 64th-minute goal from Lauren James handing us the victory.
