Chelsea to play in Abu Dhabi again!

From the official Chelsea FC website:

Blues fans will not have to wait as long as maybe anticipated to watch our players in Chelsea action again, with news of an all-Premier League friendly to be played during the World Cup, which will be streamed live on our channels.

The club world champions are returning to the scene of our coronation earlier this year – Abu Dhabi – where in addition to warm weather training, we will be taking on Aston Villa in a match for the CBF | Al Wahda Challenge Cup.

The date for this desert oasis of club football during next month is Sunday 11 December with kick-off at 6.10pm local time (2.10pm UK time).

Tickets are on sale now for the match at the Al Nahyan Stadium, with prices beginning at AED 100

With our players who are not involved in the World Cup taking on a Villa side under new manager Unai Emery, we are pleased to confirm the official Chelsea website and The 5th Stand app will be showing the full 90 minutes. More details will follow.

Also, keep an eye on our channels to follow the training activity as Graham Potter puts the squad through their paces in the United Arab Emirates.

Before the Chelsea vs Aston Villa game, there is also the chance to watch live Academy football on and The 5th Stand this Saturday morning at 11am when our U18s host Fulham, with two further U18 games to come in November and December before the return of Premier League football.
