CSG Statement

Graham Potter’s statement today:

‘Nevertheless if I am asked is it hard, is it tough, is it not nice to hear, as much as I’ve had support I’ve also had some not particularly nice emails come through that want me to die and want my kids to die, that type of stuff. That’s obviously not pleasant to receive.

It’s so easy nowadays to use social media to direct abuse at whoever these keyboard warriors think is a fair target. Most of these ‘so called’ supporters need to have a long hard look at themselves.

For the Chelsea manager to receive these types of hate mail against himself and his family is completely unacceptable and the CSG is totally against this type of abuse.

Fair and constructive criticism of the manager and the team is one thing, but this goes way beyond that.

Genuine Chelsea supporters want to see an upturn in performance and a return to winning ways but personal abuse like this is abhorrent behavior.

Good luck to the manager and players at Tottenham tomorrow.
