Chelsea Women will be looking for our fourth consecutive league victory when Leicester City are the visitors to Kingsmeadow in the Women’s Super League on Wednesday evening.
The Blues will play a third home league fixture in eight days and will be hoping to pick up where we left off against Everton on Sunday, where a devastating display saw us hit seven goals without reply.
Pernille Harder netted a brace from the bench while goals from Guro Reiten, Sam Kerr, Sophie Ingle, Jessie Fleming and Erin Cuthbert rounded off a resounding victory which moved us into second place in the league table with two games in hand on top spot.
We have four league matches left to navigate plus the Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final on Sunday, but all eyes are on Leicester who arrive in the capital looking to upset the odds and get a result that would strengthen their bid to avoid the drop.
Willie Kirk’s side have won two of their previous three matches including a 4-0 home victory over Liverpool and a 2-1 win over Reading, before losing to Arsenal by a single goal in their most recent outing leaving them two points clear of the drop zone coming into this clash.

Our biggest league victory of the season came at Leicester on Saturday 3 December when we travelled to the King Power Stadium on a bitterly cold afternoon in the East Midlands, hitting eight goals without reply.
It was a top-drawer performance with six different goal scorers helping us to an emphatic victory which maintained our three point lead at the summit that we held at the time.
Fleming and Fran Kirby netted braces alongside goals from Reiten, Kerr, Niamh Charles and Bethany England as we began December in clinical fashion, and the Blues faithful will be hoping for more of the same on home turf this week.

The Blues will begin preparations for the eagerly-awaited Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final against Manchester United at Wembley on Sunday 14 May, with a record attendance expected at the sell-out showpiece event.
