Chelsea’s 2023/24 Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures announced

After the release of the fixtures for the new Barclays Women’s Super League season, we have everything you need to know about who, where and when Chelsea will be playing…

Who is Chelsea’s first Women’s Super League game of 2023/24 against?

Emma Hayes’ Blues will begin the defence of our WSL title with a London derby at home to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday 1 October at Stamford Bridge, with kick-off at 5.30pm (UK time). The match has been selected for broadcast on Sky Sports.

Who else do Chelsea play in the opening weeks of the season?

Our first away league match takes us to Manchester City on 8 October, with kick-off at 1pm (UK time) at the Academy Stadium. Please note the date and time are subject to change with broadcast selections to be confirmed in due course.

We return to Kingsmeadow for back-to-back home league matches against West Ham United on 15 October and Brighton & Hove Albion on 22 October.

When are Chelsea’s London derby fixtures?

Tottenham are the visitors to Stamford Bridge on the opening day of the season, while the reverse fixture away from home is scheduled for 31 March.

We travel to Arsenal on 10 December and the home fixture is scheduled for 17 March with Stamford Bridge the venue.

West Ham are the visitors for our first home league game at Kingsmeadow on 15 October and the away fixture is set to take place on 24 March.

When do Chelsea play Manchester United and Manchester City?

Manchester United are the visitors to Stamford Bridge on 21 January, and we will travel north for the reverse fixture on the final day of the season, scheduled for 18 May.

Our first away match of the campaign takes us to Manchester City on 8 October, while our home fixture against City will take place on 18 February at Kingsmeadow.

When is the Women’s Super League mid-season break taking place?

Domestic football will pause for the Christmas and New Year period, with our final league game before the festivities taking us to newly-promoted Bristol City on 17 December.

We return from the winter break and to domestic action when we enter the FA Cup at the fourth round of the competition on 14 January.

What does the Women’s Super League run-in at the end of the season look like?

Aston Villa are the visitors to Kingsmeadow on 21 April, before we travel to Liverpool on 28 April. We are due to welcome Bristol City to Kingsmeadow in our penultimate game of the season on 5 May.

Who is Chelsea’s last Women’s Super League game of 2023/24 against?

The final day of the season will see us travel north to face Manchester United on 18 May.

Which Women’s Super League home games will Chelsea play at Stamford Bridge?

We will play four of our home WSL matches at the Bridge this season with Tottenham (1 Oct), Liverpool (19 Nov), Manchester United (21 Jan), and Arsenal (17 Mar) the opposition in SW6.

Please note these dates refer to the Sunday of each matchweek, and the exact dates for the matches against Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal will be confirmed around four weeks before each fixture. The fixture date for Chelsea v Tottenham is now confirmed.

Our remaining home league matches will be played at Kingsmeadow, a short walk from Norbiton train station which is accessible via direct routes from London Waterloo or Clapham Junction.

Supporters are reminded that fixtures will be subject to change during the season. The exact date and kick-off time for each fixture will be confirmed around four weeks in advance.
