Chelsea discover Women’s FA Cup semi-final opponents

From the official Chelsea FC website:

Chelsea have been drawn away to Manchester United in the semi-final of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

The Blues advanced into the last four of the competition by defeating Everton 1-0 on Sunday. Catarina Macario proved the match-winner at Walton Hall Park – the American struck in the second period after good work from Aggie Beever-Jones.

That victory secured Chelsea’s progression and in the draw that took place this morning, the Blues, who are the defending champions, were pitted against Manchester United in the semi-finals.

Emma Hayes‘s side are bidding to win their fourth consecutive FA Cup. The Blues have defeated Arsenal, Manchester City, and Manchester United at Wembley in the past three seasons.

Only the latter remains in the competition this time around and will face the Blues for a place in the final at Wembley.

The semi-final ties are scheduled for Sunday, 14 April. Fixture and ticket information will follow in due course.
