When does the transfer window open?
As a result of the Club World Cup, an extra transfer window has been created to accommodate clubs wanting to sign players ahead of that tournament.
It opened on Sunday 1 June and will close at 7pm BST on Tuesday 10 June. This applies only to the 20 national associations with clubs playing in the competition including, of course, England.
All Premier League and EFL teams are free to sign players during this period.

Other leagues in Europe will implement a similar change and close at 7pm on Monday 1 September.
Other associations can still choose to end the window at a later date than 1 September.

What happens after the deadline?
If a transfer is agreed between two clubs late in the day, the Premier League grant some additional time for the relevant documentation to be completed and submitted.
A deal sheet can be sent to the authorities to indicate that a transfer agreement has been reached, after which the clubs are handed an additional two hours to complete the remaining paperwork.
What are the Premier League squad list rules?
Every Premier League club are permitted to register a squad of up to 25 players.
Each squad must contain no more than 17 players who do not fulfil the home grown criteria. The remainder must be home grown, although Under-21 players do not count towards the 25-player limit.
A home grown player is one who, irrespective of nationality or age, has been registered with any club affiliated to The FA or the FAW for a period, continuous or not, of three entire seasons, or 36 months, before his 21st birthday (or the end of the season during which he turns 21).
