Premier League Fixtures Announced

The fixtures for the 2017/18 Premier League season have been announced, and the defence of our title will begin with a game against Burnley at Stamford Bridge.

It will be the second time in recent years we have played the Clarets in our first match, having won 3-1 at Turf Moor in 2014/15.

That game is followed by our first London derby of the campaign, away against Tottenham Hotspur, as the top two from last season meet. With the north London side playing their home matches at Wembley during 2017/18 we will be hoping for a similar result to the last meeting between the teams at the national stadium, our 4-2 FA Cup semi-final victory in April. We have won our past three matches against Tottenham at Wembley.

A home game against Everton, who have not won at Stamford Bridge in the league since 1994, brings August’s fixtures to a conclusion, and in September we face Leicester and Stoke away, as well as entertaining Arsenal and Manchester City.

We will play both Manchester United and Liverpool during November, while December brings a midweek trip to newly-promoted Huddersfield Town.

Over the busy festive period we play Everton away just before Christmas, before successive home matches against Brighton & Hove Albion, on Boxing Day, and Stoke. We then play Arsenal away on New Year’s Day.

Tottenham and West Ham United visit the Bridge in consecutive weeks at the end of March and beginning of April, with our final home game coming against Liverpool. We then bring the curtain down on the campaign with a trip to Newcastle United.

Please note: All the fixtures are subject to change due to live television broadcast selections and the impact of other competitions on the schedule. Matches against opponents competing in the Europa League (currently Arsenal and Everton) may be moved to a Sunday due to those teams playing in Europe the preceding Thursday.

Any changes to the dates for the matches in August and September are expected to be announced by 10 July.
