Summer transfers 2024: All the Chelsea ins, outs and new contracts so far

With attention soon returning to the world of domestic football, we summarise Chelsea’s activity in the summer transfer window so far, including some exciting arrivals and emotional goodbyes…

Chelsea new signings 2024

Tosin Adarabioyo

Central defender Adarabioyo has joined on a free transfer from our west London neighbours Fulham. He has signed a four-year deal having started his career at Manchester City.

Estevao Willian

The exciting young Brazilian will join Chelsea from Palmeiras next summer. The 17-year-old winger has already built a strong reputation as one of the hottest prospects in South America.

Omari Kellyman

Kellyman is an 18-year-old attacking midfielder who has signed from Aston Villa on a six-year deal.

Marc Guiu

Spanish striker Guiu joins from Barcelona, where he scored a winning goal in the first minute of his professional career. The 18-year-old has penned a five-year deal.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Dewsbury-Hall will link up with his former Leicester boss Enzo Maresca after agreeing a five-year contract at Chelsea. The midfielder played for the Foxes almost 200 times and was their Player of the Year last season.

Chelsea new contracts summer 2024

Tyrique George

The Academy forward has signed a new contract until 2027, with a one-year option. Last season, George played prominent roles across two of our Academy sides and scored several eye-catching goals. He was also on the bench for the first team on three occasions.

Kaiden Wilson

The defender signed a new two-year contract, which includes a further one-year option. He has been at Chelsea since he was 13 and was a regular in the team that won the Under-18 Premier League South title last season.

Richard Olise

The defender has signed a new one-year contract with the club, including the option for an additional year. He featured ten times for our Under-21s last season.

Chelsea departures summer 2024

Thiago Silva

It was a fond farewell to Thiago who has returned to his native Brazil to join boyhood club Fluminense after four years as a Chelsea player in which he won the Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup.

Dion Rankine

The versatile winger or wing-back joined Wigan Athletic in a permanent deal after eight years at Chelsea.

Charlie Webster

Webster linked up with his former Under-21 coach at Chelsea Mark Robinson when he signed for League One Burton Albion on a permanent deal. He first joined the Blues at Under-10 level and was an unused substitute once.

Jamie Cumming

The goalkeeper had a successful loan at Oxford United last season as they won promotion to the Championship and the move has now been made permanent.

Ian Maatsen

The Dutch full-back made his Chelsea debut against Grimsby Town in September 2019, the first of 16 appearances for the club. He has signed for Aston Villa.

Omari Hutchinson

The attacker joined from Arsenal in 2022 and played twice in January 2023. Had a very successful loan spell at Ipswich Town, who he helped earn promotion to the Premier League, last season, and has now made the move permanent.

Lewis Hall

Academy graduate who made his senior debut in January 2022, the first of 12 Chelsea appearances. Has now completed a permanent switch to Newcastle after spending last season on loan in the North-East.

Hakim Ziyech

The Moroccan joined Chelsea in 2020 and leaves for Galatasaray as a Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup winner. In all he made 107 appearances for us and scored 14 goals.

Chinonso Chibueze

Signed for Championship club Stoke City having been at Chelsea since the Under-10 age group.

We also bid farewell to Josh Brooking and Noah Hay from the Chelsea Academy at the end of their contracts.

Chelsea loans summer 2024

Teddy Sharman-Lowe

The goalkeeper has signed a new one-year contract and joined League Two Doncaster Rovers on loan for the 2024/25 campaign.

Ted Curd

Also a young keeper, Curd has moved to Hampton & Richmond Borough in the National League South as he continues to gain experience of men’s football.

Dylan Williams

The left-back has been loaned to Burton Albion for the forthcoming campaign, with an option to make the move permanent.
