Chelsea discover FA Cup semi-final opponents

From the official Chelsea FC website:

Chelsea have been drawn to play Leeds United in the semi-final of the FA Cup.

The Blues booked our place in the last four with a commanding 7-0 victory over League One side Port Vale on Saturday.

Jorrel Hato gave the Blues the lead inside two minutes and we never looked back, with Joao Pedro and an own goal leaving us 3-0 up at the break. In the second half, Tosin AdarabioyoAndrey SantosEstevao Willian and sub Alejandro Garnacho added their names to the scoresheet.

The semi-final draw took place at the London Stadium this evening after Leeds defeated West Ham United on penalties following a 2-2 draw.

And the Blues, eight-time FA Cup winners, have been pitted against Leeds.

This will be a repeat of the epic 1970 FA Cup final, which the Blues won after a replay at Old Trafford. Our only meeting with Leeds in the Cup since that classic was two years ago, when we won a rollercoaster fifth round tie 3-2 at Stamford Bridge courtesy of Conor Gallagher’s 90th-minute goal.

Leeds have reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup for the first time since 1987.

Semi-final ties are due to be played on the weekend of 25/26 April 2026, and full fixture and ticket information will follow in due course.

Our Premier League game away to Brighton, scheduled to be played that weekend, will now be rearranged. It will take place between Tuesday 21 and Thursday 23 April, with fixture amendments confirmed by the Premier League early next week.
