Chelsea Supporters’ Safe Standing Survey

During the period from end of February to end of April, a survey was conducted among Chelsea supporters to gauge attitudes to Safe Standing at football grounds in general and Stamford Bridge in particular. The survey, distributed by supporter groups to their membership, via Chelsea blogs and fanzines and through leafleting on matchdays, elicited 4,329 responses. 88% of the respondents were matchgoers and there was a good representation across all areas of the ground. The main conclusion of the survey is that over 96% of respondents are in favour of implementing Safe Standing at Stamford Bridge, with 90% stating that they would consider buying tickets for a Safe Standing area.
