Train travel disruption for Chelsea Women cup final

From the official Chelsea FC website:

Chelsea fans intending to travel to Molineux to support the Blues in the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup final are warned about the cancellation of some rail services between London and the West Midlands.

Chelsea play Arsenal at Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Molineux Stadium on Sunday 31 March, kicking off at 3pm.

We have been informed by train operators that there are no trains in or out of London Euston Station that day.

Passengers wishing to travel by rail are being urged to take EMR/GTR services from St Pancras to Bedford to pick up a rail replacement service to Milton Keynes, for onwards travel to the West Midlands and Wolverhampton.

Trains will not be operating through Birmingham New Street until after 10am, potentially limiting the number of services for fans to get to Wolverhampton in time for the game. There is also maintenance work on West Midlands Metro which will prevent the tram running between Wednesbury and Birmingham.

Supporters travelling by rail are recommended to check travel by using Network Rail’s Journey Planner

Places on Chelsea’s supporter coaches to the cup final have sold out.
