Shirts worn in Zagreb and Arsenal games set for charity auction
From the official Chelsea FC website:
All shirts worn in our next two men’s first team home matches will be going under the hammer to raise funds for the Chelsea Foundation and the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Supporters will have the opportunity to bid for their favourite Blues shirt as the action unfolds via the MatchWornShirt website.
From last-ditch tackles to late goals, these shirts are coming to you straight from the thick of the action. You could become the proud owner of your favourite player’s jersey from this week’s Champions League and Premier League clashes with Dinamo Zagreb and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
Going live from the first kick of the ball, our Chelsea faithful will have the opportunity to bid on the match worn shirts. Each shirt will be individually signed by its respective player, putting an iconic stamp on your souvenir.
Our first auction opens when we kick-off against Dinamo Zagreb at 8pm this Wednesday 2 November, with all proceeds going towards supporting the fantastic work that the Chelsea Foundation carry out in the local community and beyond. This auction will close at 2pm on Wednesday 9 November.
There will be a second auction opening from kick-off against Arsenal at 12pm this Sunday 6 November. The proceeds from these shirts will go directly to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal as we enter the month of Remembrance. This auction closes at 2pm on Sunday 19 November.
Further shirt auctions are scheduled for our remaining matches before the World Cup, which include trips to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday 9 November and the Premier League visit to Newcastle United on Saturday 12 November. Further details for these auctions are to be confirmed.
