Kyle Broadbent – RIP
Some of you may have heard of the untimely death of one of our own, Kyle Broadbent who was killed in a tragic accident last Saturday. Kyle’s friends are organising a walk before the Newcastle home game this Saturday (25/08) to remember him by.

“Over the last couple of years, Kyle and a few others would walk from Euston to Stamford Bridge for the first home game of the season. There was never any real purpose behind the walk, but Kyle was always seemed to be a fan of long unnecessary walks at football (Marseille, Betis, Valencia etc) especially if it meant avoiding queuing)
We’d already planned to walk from Euston to West Brompton for the Newcastle match, so it seems appropriate to get as many of us together at Euston in the morning to make the walk. The pre-season walks would always be a great chance to mull over the season ahead, so in this case it would be great for everyone to get together and spend the time of the walk exchanging our stories and memories of what great times we all had with Kyle.
We’re planning on meeting at around 8:30 at the benches outside Euston (next to Nando’s etc) and set off at 9am. The walk usually takes 2-3 hours, which will depend on how fast we walk and which way we go. The Prince of Wales in west Brompton is where we’re planning on ending up, so for those who can’t make the walk, please join us in the pub.
Tony is making the effort to come along and is looking forward to seeing everyone. It’s a massive lift for him to hear how much everyone loved Kyle and to reminisce about all the great times everyone shared with him. Tony’s requested that Saturday is seen as a celebration of Kyle’s life and that everyone uses the opportunity to remember how much happier he made all our lives.
We’ll arrange some kind of collection in the pub to help out everything in the coming weeks.
Sorry if this isn’t very clear on here, I’m not used to organising such events. In short, if you want to come along, show up at Euston between 8:30 and 9am, and bring yourself a few beers for the journey.

I didn’t know Kyle but just wanted to say what a lovely tribute this is that’s planned. It’s a times like these that the football community pulls together.
Condolences to the family
I am Kyle’s mum. I cannot believe that my wonderful, funny, loving son is gone. I appreciate what the Chelsea fans are doing as I know Kyle would be very happy with this. Myself and his sister Juliette are totally heartbroken but we will never forget our Kyle.

There are no words that can come close to bringing any sort of comfort, but I just wanted to say that I met Kyle and he was a credit to you. My thoughts are with you and your family
Thank you Trizia,his Dad and I loved Kyle so much.We may have been divorced but our love for him was so great.We are both devastated,his poor Dad so much more as he was present at the accident and has suffered so much more.Life without him be be so hard. Thank you again.

I write this on behalf of all at Routeco where Kyle worked and was part of our Sales Team. I dont think we will be able to make the walk but send our deepest sympathy, we just cant believe what has happened. RIP Big Guy, We will miss you loads xx
I had the pleasure of meeting Kyle a few times with chelsea. One of the most genuine guys you could ever hope to meet. I would love to do the walk but I now live in Colombia. May he live on forever in our hearts. He will never be forgotten by his Chelsea family.

I didn’t know Kyle but I’m a Chelsea fan and was at the game with my 11year old son today,while reading through the programme I noticed the tribute to Kyle and the pictures of him with Denis wise,I then saw the banner with his name on in the Matthew Harding stand.I would just like to send my heart felt condolences to all his family and friends.
I new Kyle from his days at Natwest in MIlton Keynes and the lad made me smile every single day. His untimely passing is a real shock. My deepest condolences to his family.
I spent the best day of being a Chelsea fan I’ve ever had with Kyle and Tony recently in Munich on the Sunday after our great champions league victory ! The day was spent in great company and we laughed all day .We had a few beers and the ten of us sat chatting and laughing and drinking all day !! The best day and a top top bloke , Tony obviously did a great job in bringing him up and should be a proud man . I never knew his mum but she should proud too.
