Stamford Bridge plays host to new Ed Sheeran track

From the official Chelsea FC website:

Popstar Ed Sheeran has released a song dedicated to his close friend and Chelsea fan, the late Jamal Edwards, in which he performs at Stamford Bridge.

Edwards, a big Blues supporter who previously worked with Chelsea on some club content material, died in February at the age of 31.

He had previously made his mark by founding SB.TV, a platform for artists to showcase their talents by freestyle rapping, and helped propel Sheeran to a global stage after featuring some of his songs, including ‘You need me I don’t need you’ among others.

The platform helped the Suffolk songwriter get picked up by Atlantic Records and he has since become one of the biggest-selling artists around the world, while remaining close friends with Edwards away from the stage until his sad passing last year.

Sheeran teased his new track on social media by performing at an empty Stamford Bridge – where Jamal enjoyed so many happy times – and the full music video can now be viewed below and via the SB.TV YouTube channel.
