Chelsea v Everton (Women): Kick-off time, where to watch and more

From the official Chelsea FC website:

The Blues are back in cup action this weekend, but this time in the FA Cup against Everton. Here is all you need to know ahead of the fifth-round clash…

After reaching the Women’s League Cup final for a record-breaking sixth consecutive season in midweek, Sonia Bompastor‘s side will now turn their attention to the other domestic cup competition.

Our upcoming encounter is the first of back-to-back meetings against Everton, with the Blues hosting the Merseyside club at Kingsmeadow in the FA Cup this Sunday and again in the Women’s Super League next weekend.

Where and when

We host Everton at Kingsmeadow on Sunday 9 February, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm.

How to follow

As always, you can follow minute-by-minute updates at our Chelsea Women v Everton Match Centre on the official Chelsea website and app. You can also follow through Chelsea Women’s social media channels on XFacebook and Instagram.

The match will be shown live on the Adobe Women’s FA Cup YouTube channel.

The form

Chelsea’s FA Cup campaign began in the fourth round when we defeated Championship side Charlton Athletic in our first match following the winter break.

Mayra Ramirez set us on our way to a 4-0 win at Kingsmeadow just before the end of the first half and Guro Reiten soon doubled our advantage. There were two more goals after the interval with Aggie Beever-Jones netting on her 50th appearance for the Blues, before Niamh Charles rounded off the scoring.

Bompastor’s side are unbeaten across all four competitions this season, with that impressive run now standing at 22 matches.

Everton saw off Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round of the cup, beating the London club 2-0 at home. Kelly Gago and Heather Payne scored for the Merseyside team.

Recent head-to-head

The two sides have met once already this season in the league, with Bompastor’s side prevailing with an emphatic 5-0 win at Goodison Park in November.

Beever-Jones opened the scoring against her former loan club, before Erin Cuthbert, Reiten, Wieke Kaptein and Ashley Lawrence also got themselves on the scoresheet.

There will also be a reunion with former Chelsea defender Maren Mjelde, who could return to Kingsmeadow to feature against her old side after signing for the Merseyside club last week.
