The form

Bompastor’s side currently sit six points clear at the top of the league table. The Blues are the only team who remain undefeated in the WSL thus far, having won nine and drawn one of the 10 matches played before the winter break.

Our opponents sit 10th with eight points. Rehanne Skinner’s side have picked up two wins this season – against Crystal Palace and Leicester City – have drawn twice and lost on six occasions.

Recent head-to-head

The two sides met on three occasions last season, twice in the WSL and in the fourth round of the FA Cup in January 2024, with the Blues winning each of the encounters.

Both league clashes finished 2-0 in Chelsea’s favour with Sam Kerr and Erin Cuthbert scoring at home at Kingsmeadow in October, while Aggie Beever-Jones and Cuthbert netted in the away contest.

Mia Fishel scored our first goal of 2024 when we faced West Ham in last season’s FA Cup. The American forward’s goal on home turf levelled the game in the 70th minute after the visitors took the lead through Viviane Asseyi in the first half. Cuthbert gave us the lead in extra time before Sjoeke Nusken wrapped up proceedings to secure a 3-1 win.
